Jembe Player Issouf Kone comes from Burkina Faso, and his family inherited very long traditions from their ancestors, originated from Mali. For generations, this family has been committed to continuing their culture by passing down their stories, drumming, singing and dance to their children.
The fact that both parents are musicians makes Issouf imperceptibly influenced by music. At age of 7, he had already learned how to write various kinds of dance music, and traveled with families around the world, telling the stories of their own. By now, they are wide spread throughout Europe and America.
Inherited from the optimistic and sharing spirit from ancestors, Issouf integrates the joy-spreading lifestyle into pieces of heart-touching music.
